Getting to School

The City of Palo Alto Safe Routes to School (SRTS) team provides the following flyers:

  • Paly High Walk and Roll Map – Getting to school by bike might be faster than driving there. Check out the link and practice the route that works best for you.
  • How to Prevent Most Bike Thefts – Remember to use a U-lock and lock up your bike properly on the campus bike racks. The link will explain how to lock up your bike and register through Bike Index.
  • Sun Glare Safety Tips for Bicyclists and Drivers – As some of us wake up early or return late from school or work, its important to know about Sun Glare. What is it? The sun rises or sets, it might be harder to see a bicyclists or a driver. Check this flyer to learn what to do to be alert and visible when you or your child commute during these earlier hours.
