To all of the parents of seniorsTHANK YOU! You have spent many hours supporting your child to get to this point. To the parents whose youngest child is graduating, we appreciate the traditions you have helped to maintain and the path you have paved for those who follow.

To the entire Paly Community – Parents, Teachers, and Students (in PTSA order):

School Resource Officer Presentation at April PTSA Meeting

On April 30, PAPD Officer DuJuan Green came to the PTSA General Meeting to talk to parents about high school students and the law. Many parents don’t think about their children becoming adults before the end of high school and how that impacts any mistakes they might make.

He also told us all about Parent Project, a class offered by PAUSD and PAPD. Join other parents to improve your teen’s social and academic engagement, discipline, and any aspect of your relationship:

  • Learn to stop arguing.
  • Control the use of electronics.
  • Improve school attendance and performance.
  • Prevent the use of drugs and alcohol, bad peer influence, and run-aways.
  • Strengthen family unity and self-esteem.

Connecting with the Paly Community

Connections are an important part of a supportive community and the Paly PTSA, along with the administration, are finding ways to build connections among and between parents, teachers, and students. Parents are encouraged to be a part of some upcoming activities where you can connect with students and staff on campus. We hope to see many parents on campus this spring!IMG_3521

Field Day – Friday, May 15 – 11:45 to 1:00pm
Field Day is a chance for our hard-working students to relax and have fun.  We’ll have all sorts of activities including bouncy slides, obstacle courses and of course, a free barbecue lunch for all students and staff.  Volunteers are needed to help set up, prepare and serve food, supervise activities and clean up.  To volunteer, please sign up on the Google doc.

Finals Food for Thought –  More details coming soon!

The library stays open late the week before finals and food is served each night. If you are interested in organizing this, please contact mbena@pausd.org.

Treats During Finals Week

Help pass out treats during finals week and give some encouragement to students in these last days of the year.
